Crematogaster es un género de hormigas con gran diversidad ecológica que se encuentra en todo el mundo, se caracterizan por un gáster (abdomen) característico en forma de corazón.[2] Es el único género de la tribu Crematogastrini. Estas hormigas se conocen como hormigas acróbatas.[3]
