Rust (en húngaro, Ruszt) es una ciudad de Burgenland (Austria) situada en la orilla del lago Neusiedler (en alemán, Neusiedler See). A pesar de que sólo cuenta con unos 1.700 habitantes, es una Statutarstadt, ya que fue dotada de los derechos de una ciudad libre por la corona de Hungría en 1681. Como Statutarstadt, forma su propio distrito administrativo (Bezirk). La ciudad es famosa por sus vinos, especialmente por el Beerenauslese, el Eiswein, y por último, pero no menos importante, el Ruster Ausbruch.
